Substitution SKU
Substitution SKU
What are Substitution SKUs
Each product is assigned a unique SKU in column A. Some products have substitutions,
each with its own SKU, referred to as "substitution SKUs."
If a product has multiple substitutions, it will have multiple substitution SKUs.
Please note: Substitution SKUs are not included in the feed we
provide to you.
For example:
- SKUSubstitution SKU1

Reasons for SKU substitution
Here are a few reasons:
1. Change of factory
2. Product quality was improved and has been integrated again in our feeds
Even though, they now have a new identification number (SKU), the product itself remains the same.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the information "num_of_carton_EAN_of_XX" in this form mean?
The SKUs numbers can be identified also by EAN code. An SKU can contain multiple packages. One package corresponds to one carton EAN. If the product has several packages, then it will have several carton EANs.
Why is the number of carton EAN in the original SKU inconsistent with the number of carton EAN in the Substitution SKU?
For example:
SKU
146108num_of_carton_EAN_of_original_sku
1Substitution SKU1
3188149num_of_carton_EAN_of_substitution_sku1
2This happens to some products, but in fact the product received by the customer is the same, so you don't have to worry about it.
Why do you need this information?
Even if you are not using the substitution SKU when ordering a product, your end customer might ask why the code printed on the package is different than what he ordered. This is the reason why we are providing you this data.
Please note: the stock in the feed represents the stock for both original SKU and Substitution SKU. If your order gets cancelled due to the reason "product is out of stock", but you see that the SKU has sufficient stock in the feed, then we advise you to place a new order on our B2B portal. As soon as you do that, please contact customer service team to request to change the Original SKU to an in-stock substitution SKU.
